About Us
Toowoomba and Golden West Tourism is one of the 14 official Regional Tourist Organisations (RTO) in Queensland recognised by Tourism Queensland.
We are a non-profit, membership based body responsible for marketing the entire region which includes Toowoomba and Darling Downs as part of South East Queensland Country (SEQC) and the Western Downs (WD).
We promote to a selected target market in partnership with Tourism Queensland, the local tourism industry, local businesses, residents and local government at a regional level.
Four core responsibilities
- Destination Marketing activities (Toowoomba and Darling Downs and Western Downs)
- Destination development activities (Soft product development eg. self drive tours)
- Communication and networking initiatives to assist with industry development at a regional level
- Provide leadership and represent the regional tourism industry.

Toowoomba Regional Council, Dalby Regional Council.
Roma Regional Council, Goondiwindi Regional Council and Balonne Shire Council.
